Cong activists torch Amar Singh?s effigies

CONGRESS ACTIVISTS took out funeral processions of Samajwadi Party national general secretary Amar Singh and torched his effigies over the income-tax notice issue here at Bulanala and Lanka Crossings in Varanasi on Friday. Mahanagar Congress Committee activists got Singh?s token effigy mentally examined and alleged the SP leader was suffering from psychiatric disorder and he should be admitted to the mental hospital in Agra.

Mahanagar Congress Committee activists got Singh’s token effigy mentally examined and alleged the SP leader was suffering from psychiatric disorder and he should be admitted to the mental hospital in Agra.

The Congress activists opined Singh was using derogatory remarks against party chief Sonia Gandhi in a state of frustration.

Ram Bharat Ojha, Rakesh Pandey, Arun Soni, Ram Naresh Rajbhar, Nand Lal Gupta, Guddu Pathak, Sudhir Gupta, Meera Tiwari, Sarita Mishra and Radhey Mohan took out the procession and flayed Singh for giving non-political statements.

District Youth Congress Committee president Daya Shanker Mishra ‘Dayalu’, Paramhans Singh, Arvind Mishra, Awadh Narayan Rai, Arun Mishra, Arvind Jaiswal addressed the gathering.

Meanwhile, in a report from Sant Kabir Nagar, the effigies of Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh were burnt by Congress workers outside the DM office to protest against derogatory remarks made against Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
