Claiming that the political situation was fast improving in 'favour' of Congress, specially in Madhya Pradesh, the party incharge in the state, Hanumant Rao on Monday asked party workers to work for ensuring victory of party candidates in their constituencies, failing which disciplinary action would be initiated against them.

The arrival of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi into the political scene and the sustained campaign by Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, has improved the situation of the party in the country, he told reporters here.
Referring to Madhya Pradesh, he said the party's position has considerably improved even in those seats where it had bleak chances of winning and therefore the party expected to win 16 of the total 29 seats in the state.
He urged the party workers and office-bearers to get back to their respective constituencies in the last phase of electioneering to strengthen the party, failing which disciplinary action would be taken against them.
Rao informed that senior leaders like Kamalnath and Jyotiraditya Scinida, besides Arjun Singh and Digvijay Singh would be campaigning for the party in the last phase.
