The Congress’ poll manifesto committee, headed by former union minister and senior leader LP Shahi, is still giving final touches to the document.

Party leaders attribute the delay to internal dissensions and the rebellion over the ticket distribution.

State Congress sources, however, said the document was ready and set for release. In the manifesto, the party has promised 6 per cent reservation and other sops for the Muslims. It has also pledged industrial development of the state.

The Congress has blamed the Nitish Kumar government for the slow pace of development and charged it with failure to implement the Centre’s special schemes for the minorities in the state.
