Cong determined to dethrone Akali govt : PPCC

The Punjab Pradesh Committee (PPCC) is determined to dethrone the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP alliance government led by Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in the next two months in the state.

The Punjab Pradesh Committee (PPCC) is determined to dethrone the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP alliance government led by Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in the next two months in the state.

A strategy has been chalked out to achieve the goal during the senior party leaders meeting at Nurmahal day before yesterday.

However its detail cannot be disclosed at this juncture due to un-avoidable circumstances, said Avtar Singh Brar, PPCC vice-President and local MLA while talking to mediapersons at his residence here today.

While laying stress for initisting more corrective measures and steps to re-sterngthen state leadership not only to gain success in the target but also to regain the past glory during the next assembly polls in the state, Brar lauded the role of both Capt Amarinder Singh former state chief minister and Rajinder Kaur Bhattal leader of the opposition in the state Vidhan Sabha for playing a key role in giving a lead to the party in the recent Lok Sabha polls in the state.

The meeting also discussed a plan in detail to root out the combine candidate from the assembly segment Nurmahal in the bye-election to be held on May 28, he said.
