Nagaland Pradesh Congress which has been demanding inclusion of all political parties in a government mechanism to facilitate the on-going Naga peace process, on Thursday lamented that Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of ruling alliance did not represent all the Nagas even as consensus is key to find an amicable settlement to the vexed Naga political conflict.

NPCC president K V Pusa said any political initiative by Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) government towards facilitating peace, unity and re-conciliation among the Nagas must have a broad consensus from all political parties.

The Naga issue does not belong to any party or group but to all the Nagas, Pusa told newsmen after a party office bearers meeting in Kohima.

The NPCC chief said the current PAC, formed by the DAN government after coming to power for second consecutive term in March this year, failed to represent all the Nagas since it comprises only alliance partners of the ruling regime.

NPF-led alliance formed two political affairs committees - PAC of DAN government under chairmanship of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and and PAC of DAN headed by BJP leader and former health minister T M Lotha as facilitators to the Naga peace process.
