Allaying the apprehensions of the tax payers, Jindal said: "Tax rates will be reviewed and the newly constituted committee will make them reasonable and justified.

The committee would submit its report to the government before July 29, she said.

"Industry minister Randip Singh Surjewala is convenor of the tax review committee. The commercial institutions and other organisations are welcome to give their suggestions on the rate of property tax," Jindal said.

It may be recalled that the state government had already put off the commercial house tax for 45 days in view of the opposition of the people.
