Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Jamuna Devi, while condemning the Chief Minister’s observation at the function held to welcome the Azad Sandesh Yatra, said Chouhan belonged to a ‘clan’ which had made no contribution to the freedom struggle of the country and as such had no right to speak about martyrs and their recognition or non-recognition in the history.

She said BJP and RSS leaders ought to explain their own contribution in the freedom struggle rather than comment on who had done how much for the country during freedom struggle.

She said Chouhan seemed to believe that supporting communal fascism, feudalism and colonialism constituted patriotism. There could be no greater ‘Kafan Chor’ than those who supported the British during freedom struggle, she added.
