“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi are working as blind followers of the United States and have risked the very sovereignty of the country by referring the Iran issue to the UN Security Council,” he said addressing a conference of weavers here.

Reiterating that his party would oppose the visit of President George Bush to India, Singh said the US wanted to force its will over other countries.

Lashing out at the Congress, Singh said it had always followed the policy which harmed national interests.

The SP leader also flayed Bharatiya Janata Party, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Shiv Sena saying policies pursued by them not only created disharmony in society but also earned a bad name for the country.

Referring to developmental works undertaken by the Mulayam Singh Yadav Government, he said his party had succeeded in giving a momentum to these.
On problems faced by weavers, Amar Singh the Chief Minister was serious in addressing them.
