Predicting a hung Parliament, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and senior Congress leader Shyama Charan Shukla on Sunday said that Congress alliance would have edge over the NDA and would form the government with the support of like-minded parties.
Talking to reporters, Shukla, here to campaign for party candidate for Jabalpur Lok Sabha seat Vishwanath Dubey, said that chances of Third Front being advocated by former Prime Ministers Chandrashekhar and VP Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh, are very poor.
Shukla criticised the NDA government's economic policies and decision to disinvest the profit making industries which had completely ruined country's economy.
He said that 'exit polls' results are misleading as they have no scientific basis to assess the results.
He claimed that Congress in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh would do well.
