Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Thomas Hansda said the alliance btweeen the two might break if JMM did not give up its claim for the two seats as Congress is not ready to surrender their winning seats to the JMM.
However, the tie-up between Congress and RJD was formalised with two seats - Palamu and Chatra - going to RJD while Hazaribag was left for CPI, Hansda said.
The four other seats which the JMM would contest are: Godda, Chaibasa, East Singhbhum and Dumka.
