The party workers staged sit-ins in all the 531 blocks of the state and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor to Block Development Officer (BDO), highlighting that over 3,000 people have been killed and 1000 incidents of kidnapping have been reported in the past seven months of the NDA Government in the state, a party release said in Patna.

The memorandum also drew attention towards the state government's guarantee scheme and rural electrification programme.

The release quoting state Congress chief spokesman Kripanath Pathak said after "success" of the first phase of agitation against the state government on Monday, the party would organise similar dharnas at district headquarters on July 10.

Pathak said the agitation was meant to make the electorate aware of the pre-poll promises made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his NDA which remained unfulfilled till date.
