The demonstration took place in the Mahavir Chowk area where Congress party workers burned an effigy of Mayawati, condemning her for not allowing AICC General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi to meet students of Chandrashekhar Azad University in Kanpur. The agitation started on Friday.
