Padgha resident and a farmer Ramesh Patil, 51, had complained to the ACB on Monday about Shelar. The officials laid a trap near the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Bhiwandi and caught him red-handed. Patil’s brothers – Sunil Patil and Santosh Patil – and four others were arrested in an atrocity case. “Patil had no intention of paying the bribe and so contacted us. We laid a trap and caught him,” said ACB’s police inspector KJ Kadam.
