Consumers apprised of their rights

VARIOUS PROGRAMMES aimed at creating awareness among consumers were organised by All India Consumer Congress City unit during Consumer Protection Week from March 12 onwards to mark the World Consumer Day.

Consumer Protection Week began with discussion among consumers at Rotary Club of Indore and concluded with symposium on consumer protection at Hotel Amar Vilas.

After inaugurating the valedictory function at Hotel Amar Vilas, Consumer Forum Chairman AK Jain apprised the consumers of their rights and about filing a case in the consumer forum.

Presiding over the function, All India Consumer Congress national vice president RK Shukla informed the consumers about their rights in various Government Departments. Member district monitoring committee Anita Dwevidi advised people to refrain from use of fake and adulterated goods. Human Rights Cell State vice president Vikram Ganesh raised the demand of laying gas pipeline in the City and RS Sharma demanded that a pond be dug up in the City.
