Cop killed in accidental fire in Kashmir

A cop died in South Kashmir after an accidental fire from his service weapon, a police spokesman said on Saturday. The spokesman claimed that head constable Sanjay Sharma posted at the district Police Lines in Pulwama got injured because of an accidental fire from his service weapon.

The head constable, who was on duty on Tahab-Pulwama road when the incident occurred, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. “But he could not survive,” the spokesman said.
