"Adawaskar has been called in for routine inquiry in the case," VL Sankhe, Assistant Commissioner Police of the Bandra Division, said on Saturday. "Adawaskar is being questioned because a complaint had been made in the Tardeo police station, which was later transferred to the railway police station," Sankhe added.

Adawaskar is said to have prepared a report stating Khan had been killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Tardeo neighbourhood of the city. Police investigations revealed Khan was killed when hit by a train, while shooting at the nearby Mahalaxmi station for Kaizad Gustad's film Mumbai Central.

She was taken to the adjacent hospital, where she died. Gustad and two of his assistants, Ashish Udeshi and Hardley D'Mello have already been arrested in the case.

The film's producer Ayesha Shroff's role has also come under scrutiny because she is said to have facilitated the procedures of sending Khan's body back to London in a rush. She has also been interrogated by the police in this connection and has handed over the footage shot of the film that had been shot at the Mahalaxmi Station, on the day of the accident.
