Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria on Friday confirmed reports of the recording before a magistrate as per the provisions under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Maria refused to disclose the location for security reasons and added that along with his statement, the judicial custody will facilitate the conduct of his identification parade before witnesses.
