Two Gurgaon police constables were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly roughing up a woman traffic police official at Naiwali Chowk here.

The accused are identified as Inderjit and Satish Kumar, both residents of Kakodia village, while the woman traffic has been identified as sub-inspector Veena Rana.

According to police, Rana, who was regulating traffic at the chowk, asked the duo who were on a motorcycle to produce documents of the vehicle following which they assaulted the woman and snubbed her, saying that they were Gurgaon police personnel.
Acting on a complaint by Rana, police registered a case of obstruction, assault, causing hurt and criminal intimidation against the duo.
