"We are investigating into the case and finding out details like whether any entry to the effect was made," Railway Police Commissioner Shrikant Savarkar said on Friday.

"In case of a rail accident, whosoever concerned reports it to the station master, who in turn informs the police station. The police personnel arrange for the injured to be rushed to the hospital. All help is extended to the injured," he said.

Gustad's assistant, Nadia Khan, was shooting for a film at Mahalaxmi station when she was allegedly knocked down by a speeding train. Gustad had earlier claimed that Nadia had been killed in a road accident but changed his statement later.

Gustad and his assistant Ashish Udeshi were arrested and remanded to police custody till June 10. A lady constable Darshana Waiti, who was present at the Mahalaxmi railway station, was also arrested but later released on a bond.
