Copycats hurl bombs, flee from exam hall

The AU invigilators found several students and student leaders cheating during the MA-I Philosophy examination. The invigilators recovered study material from the students who offered resistance. AU examination controller Prof HS Upadhyaya said some students, after being caught cheating, hurled crude bombs and fled.

AU examination controller Prof HS Upadhyaya said some students, after being caught cheating, hurled crude bombs and fled.
The students created disturbance after they were restrained from cheating by the authorities.
Procession taken out
TEACHERS OF evening classes in Allahabad University (AU) took out a procession on Wednesday in support of their demand for merger with the AU and its constituent colleges. The procession was supported by Additional Classes Teachers’ Association of colleges and the members submitted a memorandum to officiating vice-chancellor Prof Janak Pandey.
The teachers of evening classes carried out a silent procession from KPUC to the office of AU vice-chancellor and submitted a memorandum to the V-C. The members accused the AU authorities of adopting a step- motherly attitude towards teachers of the evening classes, who were never inferior to the other teachers of the AU. The members urged the AU authorities to cancel the proposal for reduction of seats and absorb them as permanent teachers against the 300 vacant seats of the AU.
Those who participated in the procession were Dr Jitendra Nath Tiwari, Dr Vijay Kumar Srivastva, Dr Ramesh Singh, Dr BN Shukla, Dr Alok Kumar, Dr Priti Srivastava, Kumkum Srivastava, Dr SP Singh, and others.
