Fifth seed Guillermo Coria looked forward to giving boyhood hero Andre Agassi another shock when they meet in the quarter-finals of the US Open.
The Argentine continued his stealthy progress at Flushing Meadows with a 6-2 6-3 4-6 6-2 fourth-round victory over Swede Jonas Bjorkman.
With compatriot David Nalbandian also beating Roger Federer on Thursday, it meant the pair became just two of four Argentine men to reach the last eight here in the era of Open tennis.
Coria, 21, meets top seed Agassi on Friday, hoping for a repeat of his quarter-final win over the American on his way to the last four of the French Open earlier this season.
"It is going to be tough because I am playing against my idol in his favourite tournament, at his home," Coria told reporters.
"I respect him a lot but on court I won't respect him. I demonstrated that at Roland Garros.
"I will try and play the same match (on Friday) as I did at Roland Garros."
In a bizarre quirk of fate, the pair also met at the Australian Open in January, when Coria had to retire from their fourth round match through injury.

Coria said: "Bill Norris (the ATP Tour trainer) was fundamental for me getting through today.
"He told me forget about the pain and focus on playing. If I have pain (against Agassi) I won't think about it."
