"We have got justice from the court. We have full faith in Judiciary. We are fully satisfied. Truth has ultimately prevailed," the RJD chief and former Bihar chief minister told reporters after the CBI court acquitted him and his wife in the assets case.
Similar sentiments were expressed by former chief minister Rabri Devi, wife of Lalu Prasad, also accused in the case and acquitted by the CBI court.
Praising the court, Prasad and his wife said today's judgement has further increased their faith in the judiciary.
"God is great. Judiciary is great. Judiciary is like God," Prasad said adding the court has listened to all the factions before delivering its order.
Asked if he was relieved from the mental pressure since the court has acquitted him, the RJD chief said "mental pressure will remain there". However, he said that cases against him and his wife were "false".
Prasad and his wife won a major legal battle when the CBI Judge Muni Lal Paswan pronounced the verdict of their acquittal in a jam-packed court in Patna, sending their supporters outside into a frenzied jubilation.
