"No power can stop the BJP from coming to power in the state and the countdown of the Congress government has already begun," newly elected Himachal BJP [President Jai Ram Thakur said on Saturday.

There is no factionalism in the party and it would work like a team under the guidance of experienced leaders like former union minister Shanta Kumar and former Chief Minister PK Dhumal to strengthen the ideological base of the cadre, he said.

Thakur said that the Congress had come to power in 2003 on the plank of eradicating corruption, controlling prices, providing jobs to at least one person in each family besides speeding up development but it had failed miserably on all fronts.

Corruption was rampant, prices were skyrocketing, number of unemployment persons was multiplying and developmental works had come to a halt, he alleged.

Thakur accused the present government of victimising its employees having soft corner for RSS and said the ban on participation of employees in RSS' activities was illegal.
