Counterfeit notes of Rs 1,000 denomination recovered from MP

More than 60 fake currency notes, bearing the denomination of Rs 1,000 were recovered from a person in Narayangarh area of this district in Madhya Pradesh, police said today.

More than 60 fake currency notes, bearing the denomination of Rs 1,000 were recovered from a person in Narayangarh area of this district in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Thursday.

The fake currency notes were seized from Arjun Singh (30), who was arrested from village Admalia, District Superintendent of Police, G K Pathak told PTI here.

Police said Singh told them that he had got the fake notes from one Ameen Khan who had taken Rs 3,000 in real cash for Rs 10,000 counterfeit notes.

He said a raid had been conducted on the house of Ameen but he managed to escape.
