Two days after Bihar's vigilance bureau submitted charge sheets against Yadav and eight others in the Rs 170-million flood relief scam, the special vigilance court issued the warrant against Yadav.

Yadav is currently in New Delhi.

The investigation officer of the case had submitted a petition in the court on Monday, requesting it to issue warrants of arrest against Yadav, who was granted bail by the Patna High Court last month till the submission of a charge sheet against him.

Yadav had surrendered before the special vigilance court on March 24 and deposited a personal bond of Rs 10,000, and two sureties of the like amount as per the directive of the high court.

Neelmani, the additional director of the vigilance bureau, said that the high court's bail order became "null and void" after filing the charge sheet.
