Judge DK Dangi rejected the application by Monica's counsel PC Bedi to remove "Faujia" in the chargesheet against her.

Monica, accused of procuring a passport in the name of Faujia Usmani by allegedly using fake documents, appeared before the judge, but statements of a witness, Khaleelullah Khan, could not be recorded as government prosecutors were absent.

Monica, Salem, his wife Sameera Jumani, Siraj alias Abdul Jameel and Abdul Kabeer Baba were booked in the fake passport case in 2001.

The residential addresses of Siraj and Kabeer were mentioned in the allegedly forged supporting documents presented to procure passports for Monica, Salem and Sameera, in the names of Fauji Usmani, Danish Baig and Sameena Baig respectively.

Monica, who was brought to Bhopal from a Hyderabad jail on October 13, was extradited last year from Portugal with Salem, a key accused in the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai.
