Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau directed the DC (South) to appear in person on June 13 along with relevant material to explain why the present complaint was filed after such delay.

The court also asked the DC (South) to place on record reasons why such a complaint was not made at the time by the Hauz Khaz Sub Divisional Magistrate before whom the false declaration was allegedly made in 1999.

The orders were passed on a complaint filed against Ramani seeking registration of an FIR against her for having made false statements in an affidavit submitted before the SDM, a fact that was brought to the attention of the Commissioner of Police in a letter dated May 16, 2006.
