Darbhanga district Judge Sushil Kumar ordered the issue of summon to Thackeray asking him to present his side in the
court by September 3.

"Thackeray can appear in the court in person or through his lawyer to explain the position," Kumar ordered.

A social activist Ramlakhan Mishra alias Ramu Mishra of Benipur sub-division had earlier filed a complaint alleging
that the MNS supremo had made provocative speeches against migrants from northern India in Mumbai in 2008 that had hurt their sentiments.

"Such statements have also dealt blow to the country's integrity and unity," he had alleged.
