Speaking at a press conference, he accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of spreading canards against him and distorting facts, asking, “I rear cows and have plastered their dung on my walls. Have the BJP leaders done it?”

The RJD supremo, who left the audience in splits, said after a major surgery, the valves in his heart were replaced with cow tissues.

Lalu also dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify his stand on reservation for Dalits and OBC after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said India’s reservation policy needed to be reviewed. “Why is Modi silent on the quota issue? If he does not agree with Mohan Bhagwat, he should issue a statement or remove Bhagwat from the post,” Lalu said.

“The Election Commission of India must take serious cognizance of this sorry state of affairs and should ensure that the administrative functionaries discharge their obligations and perform their functions without in any manner being influenced by any political consideration of the present outgoing State Government,” read the memorandum signed by urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu, commerce minister Nirmala Sitharaman, minister of state for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and BJP general secretary Arun Singh.
