CPI-M meet to discuss poll and party issues

A two-day CPI-M state secretariat to discuss preparations for the coming Lok Sabha polls and party issues began in Thiruvananthapuram.

A two-day CPI-M state secretariat to discuss preparations for the coming Lok Sabha polls and party issues began in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.

CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat is attending the meeting, party sources said.

The meeting will examine the health of the party organisation and its chances in the Lok Sabha election.

The set-back the party suffered in the recently held by-polls in Shornur municipal council would also come up for discussion at the meeting, the sources said.
