The parcel of three bottles of Lafite 1869 fetched a total of HK$5,445,000 ($698,076), setting the world record for any wine at auction, during a Sotheby's wine auction in Hong Kong. Spanning around 300 years of wine making, commerce and record finance, the brand's reputation has further been enhanced with the sale.
