The accused have been identified as Amit Malik of Moti Nagar in Delhi, Karan Sharma of Shanti Nagar in Delhi and Chig Bahadur, a Nepali national. Seventy mobile phones, two TV sets, one laptop, one register and some electronic goods have been recovered from them.

A case has been registered against the accused under the Gambling Act at the Sushant Lok police station.

They were produced before a court on Friday, which granted them bail.

The police raided a house in Sector 43, Sushant Lok, on Thursday. “We’ve seized a register from the accused. It contains the names of different cricket teams and the amount betted on the favourite teams. We are scanning the register. The accused operated the racket with the help of mobile phones. Most customers, familiar with the gamblers, betted over the phone. The transaction was largely carried out through mobile phones,” said Maheshwar Dayal, DCP east, Gurgaon.
