Crude bombs hurled at houses of AIADMK functionaries in Tamil Nadu

Unidentified people hurled ‘crude bombs’ at the houses of AIADMK functionaries on Saturday at Kazhugumalai and Tuticorin, about 160km from here, police said.

The motorcycle of a Muthuraj, an AIADMK functionary, was destroyed when a petrol bomb was hurled at his house around 1am.

AIADMK workers in the area and residents staged a demonstration demanding arrest of the culprits.

In another incident at Rajagopal Nagar in Tuticorin, a petrol bomb was hurled at the house of AIADMK functionary Chinnadurai, around 2:30am.

The shed in front of his house was destroyed and his two-wheeler was also destroyed, police said, adding, a two-wheeler of another functionary Pitchiah was also damaged.
