Curfew was clamped Saturday morning in a town in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district following clashes between members of the Hindu and Muslim communities over a piece of land.

Police had to use teargas shells to disperse the clashing groups in the border town of Mendhar, around 200 km from here.
