However, the administration has decided to continue the night curfew from 7 pm to 7 am for two days from Tuesday, District Superintendent of Police B Dayanand said.
The curfew was in force since Thursday last in Mangalore, its rural limits, Konaje and Ullal.
Barring the assault on a youth who received a head injury on Monday, the situation during the curfew relaxation period had been peaceful in all curfew-bound areas, Dayanand said.
Violence broke out on Wednesday last after Bajrang Dal activists intercepted a vehicle carrying cattle to a slaughterhouse.
