In a bizarre incident in the village of Jehanabad in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnore District, Rajpal, a local farmer, and his daughter got married at the same venue.
What has turned out to be bizarre is that Rajpal has married his close friend Moolchand's wife.
When Moolchand was asked, he nonchalantly replied: "Yes I will keep her with me. We've been married for 18-19 years. When we troubled her a little, she ran away to his (Rajpal's) place."
The villagers called for a Panchayat, which decided that Vimla Devi, Moolchand's wife would have to go back to him. But Vimla has refused to go back to her former husband's place. The incident led to total chaos in the village.
"We've heard, Rajpal has kept Moolchand's wife forcibly. We've only heard, we don't know what is the truth. We've also heard Rajpal has sold three bighas of land to give her. Social rules have been violated, whatever action will be taken will be correct," said Pooranchand, a villager.
Vimla, Moolchand's wife got attracted to Rajpal and also established physical relations with him, as he used to come over to their place by virtue of being Moolchand's friend. His daughter who too got married the same day is embarrassed by the incident and doesn't know how to react to her father's action.

{{/usCountry}}"We got to know through newspapers that a man has married his friend's wife. But we haven't received any complaint about it. If we receive a complaint then we will take action," said N.S.Rana, police official, P.S.Haldor, Bijnore.
The entire village is condemning Rajpal's bizarre action.
