“I am deeply concerned over the situation that has been developing following peaceful protests in many parts of Tibet in recent days,” he said in a statement released on Friday.

He maintained that the protests were a manifestation of the deep-rooted disaffection of the Tibetan people towards the ruling regime in Tibet. present governance. Calling upon asked the Chinese government to address the “simmering discontent through dialogue with Tibetan people,” he also appealed to the protesters not to resort to violence.
