The Dalai Lama left hospital with a smile on his face as he waved to waiting photographers in Mumbai after being treated for abdominal pain.

The Dalai Lama left hospital in Mumbai on Monday morning after being treated for abdominal pain.

The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader left the hospital at about 10 a.m. local time (0430 GMT).

He smiled and waved to waiting photographers and put his hands together in a traditional greeting before getting into a white Ambassador car and being driven away, accompanied by police vehicles.
