Daniel Vettori is the youngest player ever to play for New Zealand, at 18 years and 10 days at his Test debut, and is currently a prominent member in both One-Day International and Test sides.

Not only is he there for his bowling but he has proved himself very handy as a left arm batter batting at No. 8 or 9.

One memorable moment for the young left arm orthodox spinner was in a Test match against Australia (when the memorable Test streak was on) Vettori took 12 wickets for the match and nearly got new Zealand into the record books with a victory against at the time was an unstoppable Australian Test outfit.

Vettori has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame in international cricket.

As his statistics show he just gets better and better and is with out a doubt new Zealand's best spinner at present and some say he may be the best they have ever had. Only time will tell.
