A wiry leg-spinner, and only the second Hindu to play Test cricket for Pakistan, Danish Kaneria has mastered the technique to bowl the stock ball which drifts into the batsman.

He also possesses a well-disguised googly which can be lethal.

Though he made his debut in 2001 against England he established himself as a quality bowler against the weaker oppononets such as Bangladesh.

But he hit back at his critics when he was also noticed for his performance against the touring South Africans.
