Danny Boyle all set to lead Shanghai fest jury

The Shanghai fest, which runs from June 13-21, will include more than 600 features. As many as 200 shorts have already been submitted to the fest committee.

Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle will be the leading member of the jury at the Shanghai Film Festival.

The Oscar-winner filmmaker told the Xinhua news agency that he had never been on a fest jury before. Boyle also revealed his plans to make a flick in China.

"When you have a city that is full of people and stories like Mumbai, Beijing or Shanghai, it''s just so much excitement and potential for a filmmaker. It''s like a dream come true," Variety magazine quoted him as saying.
