CLOUDING AND high velocity wind saw the day temperature plunging across the State, though a little rise was registered in the minimum temperature.

In Bhopal, the day temperature on Friday plunged five degrees since Thursday and was recorded at 20.7 degrees. The maximum temperature on Thursday was 25.6 degrees.
The clouding was the result of the trough that is extending from the Arabian Sea to West MP, the Met office said.
Director of the Regional Meteorological Centre Dr D P Dubey said that the trough is leading to a lot of moisture incursion over most part of the State, mainly Western MP. Some rains are also expected in Indore and Ujjain divisions.
In other parts of the State too, the day temperature plunged drastically. In Gwalior it was recorded as low as 18.8 degrees, at Jabalpur it was recorded at 21.2 degrees and Indore – 25.0 degrees.
The minimum temperature remained low in the northern parts of the State with Gwalior reco-rding 4.9 degrees and Khajuraho 3.0 degrees – lowest in the State. Dr Dubey said that during next one or two days some clouding is expected in state after which the skies would clear up and the minimum temperatures would once again plunge.
