Deputy Commissioner PC Meena on Friday pulled up the Haryana Urban Develop-ment Authority (Huda) and the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) for not preparing a crisis management plan despite repeated reminders. In a special meeting of the District Crisis Group, officials concerned were directed to submit plans within 15 days. "We would plan accordingly and present a plan," said Huda administrator Praveen Kumar.

Since major parts of the city fall under the Huda and MCG, an action plan is a must for preparing a comprehensive crisis management plan for the district. The plan has to be prepared to mitigate the after-effects of any chemicals-related accident, since Gurgaon has many such factories, or a fire tragedy, Meena said.

Meena said the plan should include details about crisis-handling equipments, an emergency response guide to educate the masses and an emergency response plan for authorities.
