It is to be noted that Sharma had refused to provide some information to students, saying it was breach of secrecy of examination.

According to reports, two students Nardeshwar Sharma and Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who had appeared in BEd entrance test at DDU Gorakhpur University centre, had filed an application under RTI Act, seeking details of their answer sheets and that of other students who had been given admission.

In the application they demanded that they wanted the Xerox copy of their original answer sheets to compare with other students’ answer sheets.

They alleged that the students who were not satisfied with their performance had managed to get admission while those who had done very well in the test, had failed to get admission.

Later, the students filed an application to the commissioner information, who called registrar Satish Chandra Sharma to state the cause for rejecting the applications.

It is to be noted that Sharma is also the information officer of Gorakhpur University.
