The strike brought the normal functioning of the university to a grinding halt. The locks of the office remained close and the officials working were hampered.

The employees demanded to start the recruitment process and to mobilise the services of employees. President of the association, VN Singh said the work pressure on the employees has increased due to enhanced seats and night classes in different departments.

Meanwhile, student leaders of university took out a procession and handed over three-point charter of demand to the proctor Prof RP Yadav to issue the identity cards to all the students and to announce the date for students’ union election.
