Deana Noddings, who'd had seven affairs, had an intuition she would be murdered, following which she wrote a letter declaring ex-husband Colin, 54, as her killer a year before he throttled her.

Mrs Noddings was convinced the letter would be opened only after her death and the same happened.

The note, slipped into an envelope marked “To whom it may concern”, was discovered in her desk at work.

“Should anything untoward happen to me I want it in black and white that this would be done by my ex-husband. I know what he is like," The Sun quoted the last words of Deana, 46.

Colin Noddings, an antiques collector like TV character Lovejoy, was however cleared of murder last month on the grounds of provocation, as he said he was pushed over the edge by her taunts about her lovers.

“She f***** her last two bosses — and she'll do that to you,” the paper quoted Noddings, as tellingDeana's lover a night before killing her.

Noddings described his former wife as “drop-dead gorgeous” and added: “I basically loved her to bits. I loved everything about her.”

The dead woman's family were furious at his sentence for manslaughter, as Deana's sister Tina said: “This is just one more injustice. You do what you want, snuff out a life, and this is all that you get.”
