Talking to reporters following discussions with leaders from Vidisha, Agrawal said he would submit his report to the party Central leadership and party’s Parliamentary Board would take a final decision on candidate from Vidisha in the next few days.

He said Vidisha leaders were optimistic about party’s prospects to win the seat, which it had last won in 1984 election, and they all assured to work in unison for victory of any candidate announced by the AICC.

Refusing to divulge the name of probable candidates discussed during his meeting with Vidisha leaders, Agrawal, however, said that names of about a dozen probable candidates figured during the discussion.

State Congress chief Subhash Yadav while referring to results of Assembly by-elections in Balaghat and Nohta, said the Congress has substantially retrieved the ground it lost in December 2004 election. He expressed the hope that the party would do well both on Vidisha Lok Sabha and Bada Malhera Assembly seat.

that the Central leaders from the State seemed to shunned them after becoming the ministers at the Centre and their indifference to the State party affairs is one major reason for the low morale of the grassroots workers.
