Colour splash
“Christmas décor is all about colours in bright red and green. The Christmas tree is a primary element in the décor, but we can also deck up our houses with poinsettia flowers and bright colours. We can also design gift boxes and make personalise cards for loved ones,” says Amitabh Bendre, design head, Evok.

When decorating your home for a Christmas bash, work with a colour scheme in mind. “During festivities, keep in mind that less is more. Colourful candles on elegant candle-stands can make up for the minimal décor. Using ornaments as table decorations can also add sparkle to a table-top,” says Bindu Vadera of Varya. If one wants to enjoy the process, one can choose to make the decorative items at home. “You can make the decorative items such as stars, bells, balls and decorating gift items at home, thus saving on money,” says Amitabh.
