Declare 3 Haryana seats super sensitive: BJP
Haryana BJP has urged the Election Commission to declare Sonipat, Bhiwani and Rohtak "super sensitive", fearing that the ruling INLD would try to influence voters more on these seats.
Haryana BJP on Wednesday urged the Election Commission to declare Sonipat, Bhiwani and Rohtak Parliamentary constituencies as "super-sensitive".
State BJP General Secretary Veer Kumar Yadav said that the party had already seen how the State Police Chief MS Malik allegedly tried to misuse his official position to influence the voters in Sonipat constituency to make his wife Krishna Malik, who is ruling INLD candidate, successful.
A delegation of State BJP leaders led by Yadav met Chief Election Commissioner TS Krishna Murthy here and apprised him that INLD chief and Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala "could go to any extent to misuse his officers to influence voters".
Yadav said they had also apprised the EC that 300 criminals accused of henious crimes had been released by the Chautala government and "will be used by him (CM) for booth capturing, poll violence and other nefarious activities throughout Haryana particularly Sonipat, Bhiwani and Rohtak constituencies".
