'Declare Hansi a district'

Hansi Zila Sanghrash Samiti on Sunday raised its voice and demand for declaring Hansi as a district at a press conference at PWD rest house here. Ram Kishan Fauji, president of the samiti, showed resolutions of 50 village panchayats and signatures of 50,500 people in support of their demand to declare Hansi a district.

He said the smaller sub-divisions other than Hansi had been upgraded as districts and the government should elevate the status of Hansi also since it was the oldest tehsil of Haryana.
